About

Specializing in both sculpture and functional ware, she utilizes slab building techniques and a building technique Chelsea refers to as "clumping". Literally grabbing clumps of clay and forming the body of her sculpture.

My Story
I grew up in a small town in Ohio in the country side. As such many pieces of my work have nature elements to them. Leaves, trees, flowers and sun.
After high school graduation I was accepted into the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2010. I majored in Fine Art and originally began as a painter. I ended up in a ceramic class and fell in love. I became a ceramic sculptor and found that being both a painter and a sculptor strengthens both of these schools.
Since my acceptance and graduation from the Columbus College of Art and Design my oeuvre has evolved and changed from nature to fun and funky and occasionally dark and creepy.
In recent years, I've returned to my original art roots and have come full circle and began where I started, always reaching toward nature in all its forms. Metaphorical, psychological and tangible real objects.
